Consumers are driving redesign of the snack category

Press release that highlights the characteristics of the snack industry, which, according to the Snacks Association , represents a consumption per person per year in Spain of 7.5 kilos and a production of 356,000 tons for an annual turnover of €2.3 billion. By category, nuts account for 44% of the total, followed by crisps with 32% and other snacks with 24%.
The note also brings together the opinions of several business managers of snack companies, in which they point out the continuous evolution and innovation in snacks based on new consumer consumption and eating habits and the available technology.
