Description

aGROSlab has organized a seminar/workshop to provide information on the challenges of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CEU) in family farming. The activity, aimed at farmers and the organizations that represent them , will be held online , free of charge, on January 30th , from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

In Spain, more than 80% of agricultural holdings are family-run , constituting a fundamental pillar of the agricultural sector.

Implementing the Digital Farm Logbook is particularly difficult in these farms, due both to the lack of administrative resources and to their structure, which usually includes several farms legally registered in the REA and various Single Applications for CAP Aid.

The introduction of RETO and the Digital CUE adds complexity to the logistics required for applying plant protection treatments. This complexity ranges from acquiring products and registering treatments to inventory control, managing waste, and, where applicable, reporting "third-party treatments" to RETO ST.

To address these challenges, aGROSlab has integrated the ability to work with Multi-Farm Homogeneous Crop Units (UHC-X) into all the functionalities of its digital record book. Thanks to UHC-X, it is possible to group and manage all the plots of a farm together, regardless of their administrative status. Thus, with a single record, the treatment carried out is reflected in the record books of all the farms to which those plots belong.

For example, if herbicide treatment is carried out over the course of a week on plots associated with several different CAPs (Common Agricultural Policy) schemes, simply select the corresponding plots and indicate the total amount of product applied. In this way, with a single entry, the treatment is correctly recorded in each of the Farm Logbooks . This functionality also extends to fertilizer application, harvest recording, or any other task that must be documented in the Farm Logbooks.

The scheduled seminar will serve to demonstrate how easy it is to solve this problem with aGROSlab.
