- Type Project
- Scope Autonómico
- Autonomous community Comunitat Valenciana
- Main source of financing NextGenerationEU
- Project website Web del Proyecto
Description
FERTSPERM investigates how to optimize the preservation of animal sperm doses to preserve their fertilizing capacity and improve fertility prediction.
Contextual description
The aim was to study both the relationship of different sperm parameters with fertility, and the effect of conservation on different sperm parameters, proteome and metabolome in different animal species of productive interest.
Results
Optimization of semen preservation and development of biomarkers and AI-based tools that allow prediction of actual fertility in cattle and goats, improving reproductive efficiency and livestock sustainability.
