Description
KRONODIABET integrates continuous monitoring of glucose, hormones, metabolomics, and diet under real-life and laboratory conditions. We seek transferable knowledge that will generate guidelines and tools to optimize the design of products aimed at preventing prediabetes.
Contextual description
Misalignment between circadian rhythms, eating schedules, and modern lifestyles increases the risk of type 2 diabetes. The agri-food sector needs evidence and applicable guidelines on when and how to eat to improve glycemic control.
Results
Reproducible flow in R for continuous glucose and appetite monitoring analysis. Prospective food intake throughout the day is higher in subjects with prediabetes. Prediabetes is accompanied by changes in the metabolome and microbiome.
