Publication date: 20/01/2026

Description

The 2025 Innovation and Transfer Ecosystems call for applications remains open until February 12, 2026 , with the aim of strengthening interregional ecosystems focused on the transfer, dissemination and valorization of knowledge , in line with the approach of Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) .

This action seeks to foster collaborative and participatory models among the different agents of the system —public administrations, knowledge generating centers, universities, technology centers, companies, especially SMEs, transfer organizations and end users—, promoting effective cooperation that facilitates the arrival of knowledge to the territory and the productive fabric.

The call for proposals promotes the creation of supra-regional ecosystems , with the participation of at least three autonomous communities, focused on developing shared work plans and roadmaps , as well as training, advisory, dissemination, and public-private cooperation activities. All of this aims to strengthen the capacity of regional innovation ecosystems and improve knowledge transfer processes.

Among the priority challenges that can be addressed are, among others, the ecological transition of the agri-food system , environmental sustainability, social cohesion and balanced territorial development, areas closely linked to the modernization of the agricultural and rural sector.

Groups of between four and eight entities , including at least one knowledge-generating center and one company or business association, will be eligible for this funding. The aid is granted as a subsidy , with a total budget of €14.28 million , co-financed by ERDF funds, and for multi-year projects that may extend until 2027 or 2028.

This call is part of the Complementary Knowledge Transfer Plan , promoted by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities together with the CDTI and the autonomous communities, and constitutes a strategic tool to consolidate and revitalize the AKIS ecosystem through cooperation, innovation and the effective transfer of knowledge to the productive sector and society.
