Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services
We will understand why natural capital is the foundation of our economy and how ecosystem services sustain our well-being, despite often being invisible to traditional markets.

Markets based on Natural Capital
We will review real-world examples where organizations and territories are channeling investments towards conservation through market mechanisms, integrating sustainability, profitability, and resilience.

Types of Environmental Credits
We will analyze the different credit systems geared towards environmental regeneration, including:

  • Carbon credits for capturing and reducing emissions
  • Regenerative credits, an innovative model that goes beyond carbon and allows measuring the restoration of biodiversity and ecosystem services.

The structures of these mechanisms, the measurement methodologies, and the regulatory and technical challenges for their implementation will be explained.
