IDI Network

Location: Madrid

Description

The IDI Network seeks to coordinate the different agents of the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System to optimize the design and development of public support frameworks for R&D&I, thus promoting the mobilization of resources and access to funding from European cohesion policy.

The IDI Network integrates into its structure the most relevant stakeholders in Spain's R&D&I policy ecosystem. There are three levels of representation: European, national, and regional, and also three distinct bodies: the Presidency, the Plenary, and the Technical Secretariat.

Currently, the network and its various activities are directly related to policy objective 1, “A more competitive and smarter Europe by fostering an innovative and smart economic transformation and regional connectivity in the field of ICT.”, of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027 and co-financed through technical assistance from the Spanish Multiregional Programme (POPE) and by the Centre for Technological Development and Innovation, under the Ministry of Science and Innovation, currently responsible for the Technical Secretariat of the IDI Network.

For its part, the IDI Network is considered as one of the instruments of the strategic governance system, which facilitate the coordination and participation of all the actors involved, both in the field of the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System (SECTI), provided for in Law 14/2011 on Science, Technology and Innovation, and in the field of the European Union.
