Organic Livestock Farming Course
Description
The European Commission has placed environmental protection in general, and the development of the organic production sector in particular, at the heart of its policies through the European Green Deal and its Biodiversity and Farm to Fork Strategies. It has set a target of having 25% of Europe's utilized agricultural area (UAA) certified under organic production standards by 2030. Furthermore, the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy in Spain, 2023-2027, supports farms that voluntarily undertake additional environmental commitments, specifically estimating a 34% increase in the budget for organic production.
Therefore, from Ecovalia, the Spanish professional association for organic production, with a long experience and a history of more than 30 years, we are launching this course aimed at professionals who wish to dedicate themselves to this sector (farmers, livestock farmers, etc.).
The organic production sector is a constantly growing sector that demands trained professionals capable of managing farms according to the established regulations. Through this course, students will learn about organic production, the steps in the certification process, current regulations and guidelines, and the practices applicable to this production system.
Goals:
To provide the necessary knowledge to convert your agricultural holding to organic production.
