Life Cycle Management in the Transition to a Sustainable Agri-food Sector
Description
On November 20th, the technical conference “Life Cycle Management in the Transition to a Sustainable Agri-food Sector” will take place, promoted by the Spanish Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Network in collaboration with the BETA Technological Center (UVic-UCC) , AZTI , and the University of Cantabria . The event will bring together innovations, case studies, and research lines in LCA applied to the agri-food sector to advance sustainability, resource efficiency, and data-driven decision-making .
Who is it aimed at?
Advisors and technicians from cooperatives, responsible for sustainability, R&D, quality and environment; eco-design teams, responsible for environmental footprint , labeling and decarbonization in the agri-food chain; researchers and companies with LCA projects.
Program
- 19/11 – Assembly and activities of the Spanish ACV Network (members only).
- 20/11 – Open technical (hybrid) conference with presentations and practical cases on:
- Application of LCA in primary production, industry and distribution.
- Carbon, water and biodiversity footprint in agri-food.
- Eco-design of products, packaging and processes.
- Data, interoperability and dashboards for sustainability.
- Regulatory and market trends (EU taxonomy, green procurement, reporting).
