5th Meeting of the Advisory Working Group of the SCIA-AKIS Coordination Body

The 5th meeting of the SCIA-AKIS Coordinating Body's Advisory Working Group was held on May 27. Approximately 50 people, representing state and regional public administrations, agricultural sector organizations, research centers, universities, and other stakeholders in the agri-food chain, participated in the analysis of the various key areas for progress in agri-food advisory services.

At this last meeting, the work carried out by the subgroups in the different thematic areas was reviewed to validate the documents on needs and guidelines prepared in sustainable nutrition (INTIASA), young and new farmers (UPA), advice for innovation (CEIA3), plant health (Coop. Agroalimentarias de Aragón), organic production (ECOVALIA) and digital transformation (MAPA).

The coordinators of each thematic line presented their progress, and a discussion took place, addressing questions and comments from the nearly 40 participants, which enriched the work presented. At the end of the workday, the next milestones for this cooperative sectoral policy development effort by technical agents, organizations, and institutions of the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) were agreed upon.
