Consumers who are familiar with the values of cooperatives have a better understanding of food produced by cooperatives and increase their interest in purchasing them. The concept of "cooperative brand" is widely accepted among buyers, so having a unique seal will improve identification and differentiation, and encourage purchases.
This is the first time that cooperative products have sought their own space, collaborated to structure it, and sought to gain visibility through their shared characteristics, based on a collective banner that highlights all the unique characteristics of agri-food cooperatives, seeking to benefit farmers and ranchers, making their operations more competitive and ensuring their sustainability.
The viability of the family farming model linked to agri-food cooperatives will be fostered, also enabling the creation and maintenance of employment in rural areas, as well as the consumption of local products.
The aim is to improve the differentiation of the cooperatives' final products through incentives, advice, and integration into the "cooperative product" label, which certifies that cooperative users meet a series of common requirements that are relevant to buyers. This improves the positioning and competitiveness of cooperatives and their members, and promotes family farming as the foundation of Aragonese agri-food cooperatives.
- Market orientation will be improved and the competitiveness of farms will be increased.
- It will improve farmers' position in the value chain. While it will promote the consumption of domestic products and short distribution chains, it will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- We will collaborate to maintain and promote job creation in rural areas, helping them survive and develop.
- It will help maintain the democratically based cooperative model and family farming.
- The cooperative brand will be significantly represented by different sectors, as well as by entities of various sizes. Consumer perception of cooperative products will be improved.
