ECOPORCNICUS Operational Group: Emission control in slurry management using satellite data. Application to the working environment of a slurry management center.
- Type Operational group
- Status In progress
- Execution 2024 -2027
- Assigned Budget 110.168,00 €
- Scope Autonómico

NH3 is the most significant atmospheric emission from the agricultural and livestock sector, impacting the environment and the health of animals and workers. NH3 atmospheric emissions from the Spanish pig sector are calculated using the ECOGAN methodology, which estimates emissions from nitrogen balances. The project's objective is to improve emissions control in slurry management using satellite data.
It is proposed to develop a demonstrator to evaluate the allocation of NH3 emissions from satellite measurements, and to evaluate the development of new emission monitoring services.
