MAPA promotes innovation in agricultural biotechnology through the StartBEC program: six companies selected in the second edition.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in collaboration with the AINIA technology centre, has selected six emerging companies that will be able to perfect their bioeconomy solutions and processes within the second edition of the StartBEC technological development programme . This programme seeks to promote sustainable innovation in areas such as sustainability, the circular economy and biomass production.
The six selected are: BioMixing, Bzero, Catalyxx, ProtheiMA, Madeinplant and Néboda Farms.

The first edition of StartBEC in 2023 laid the foundations for the success of the program, enabling participating companies to consolidate their projects in the market. This effort is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the 2030 Agenda, underlining the commitment of the Ministry and AINIA to sustainable innovation and the bioeconomy.
