Description
The Task Force aims to create a framework for the efficient and cost-effective implementation of photovoltaic energy in the agri-food sector by focusing on identifying operational scenarios and the legal, economic, and financial barriers that the project must overcome.
This way, companies can optimize their energy costs, correct breakdowns, billing errors, deviations, and even facilitate decision-making when contracting energy supplies.
Description of activities
- The viability of self-consumption facilities is being tested in different types of agri-food businesses.
- The aim is to address the main difficulties faced by the agri-food sector in meeting energy costs, as they account for 30% of production costs.
- The goal is to achieve continuous improvement in energy efficiency and savings, and an overview is provided through energy audits.
Objectives
- Promote a 20-30% reduction in companies' energy costs through an operating model and reduce the agri-food sector's exposure to fluctuating fossil fuel costs.
- Achieving continuous improvement in energy efficiency.
- Reinvestment of energy cost savings in business strategies that result in greater environmental, economic, and/or social sustainability for companies.
