Methane generation inhibitors for slurry management at slightly acidified pH

This Task Force is created to draft a proposal to evaluate the use of a methane generation inhibitor in slurry management, based on red yeast rice stanines.

The tests to be carried out in the slurry storage pits and ponds are designed to evaluate the degree of inhibition of methanogenesis and the time that this is maintained.

It also assesses how the reduction in emissions allows for a reduction in the acidification of the slurry and the positive impact this represents in its application to the field.
