Description
The Task Force promotes the application of blockchain technology to the wood supply chain with the aim of harnessing the benefits it can bring in terms of cost savings, efficiency, improved data access, information transparency, improved control, improved classification, and improved transaction security.
Description of activities
- Software development.
- Three pilot experiences to validate it in Castile and León (poplar), Asturias (chestnut) and Galicia (oak).
Objectives
- Address many of the limitations faced by the various wood supply chains in Spain, which hinder their modernization and improvement in terms of efficiency and access to information, specifically in the segment of the chain between forestry and the primary processing industry.
