Description

This Operational Group aims to develop the Timber Chain platform, which will integrate all processes, the integration of all stakeholders, the documentation of all actions, and the availability of a standardized and interoperable data source that guarantees the traceability of forest products into a single IT tool.

The aim is also to involve the entire chain of administrations, entities, managers, owners, consumers, processors, marketers, etc. in a sustainable value chain.

Objectives
  • Develop a software tool that allows for the management of all processes and the integration of all stakeholders.
  • Document all actions and ensure a standardized and interoperable data source to ensure the traceability of forest products.
  • Efficiently manage forest resources, making accurate, consistent, interoperable, and open information available to all stakeholders for global use.
  • Involve the entire chain of administrations, entities, managers, owners, consumers, processors, marketers, etc. in a sustainable value chain.
  • Increase transparency in the management of forest resources so that society as a whole values their contribution to GDP, the landscape, biodiversity, the territory, and the SDGs.
