Description

Our Operational Group studies the optimization of different methods of extracting bee venom.

Within their scope of work, they also study and optimize different methods for preserving bee venom to safeguard and protect its properties and thus obtain a high-quality product. They analyze the costs of these types of processes and their various technical and economic variations, depending on the techniques and processes followed. The collection and management of bee venom for subsequent use in different industries (pharmaceutical, cosmetic, medical) can be a source of additional income for Spanish beekeeping farms, increasing their profitability and diversifying the beekeeping business.

This Task Force seeks to implement innovative and technical improvements in the beekeeping subsector to increase farm profitability. The objective is to improve the extraction and preservation of bee venom by implementing the best available techniques and combining them with other applications within the field of practical work.

Objectives

Our Task Force aims to address the following technical and economic issues in the beekeeping sector:

  • a) Increase the profitability of beekeeping farms.
  • b) Optimize the obtaining of bee venom.
  • c) Improve the conservation and marketing of bee venom
Results

The formation of this Operational Group will optimize the production of high-quality bee venom through innovative processes that encompass the entire value chain: production, management, and conservation. These processes will be linked to increased beekeeping productivity through the diversification of activities and the production of bee products. This will always be aimed at increasing beekeeping profitability in a sustainable manner, directly benefiting rural society as a whole.
