SIVAGAL Operational Group: Tool for sustainable forest management in Galicia

This Operational Group seeks to achieve greater sustainable agricultural production, dedicating significant efforts to research and innovation at all levels. One of the major challenges faced is the environmental awareness and knowledge of landowners.

The level of professionalization is very low, and access to information is also a problem, since the high level of fragmentation of information makes it almost impossible for owners with limited technical knowledge to access it.

The initiative will promote a demonstration project that will compile all existing information on natural resources in Galicia as a means of promoting sustainable planning and management.

This tool will include a database that will allow users to obtain strategic information on environmental aspects, in addition to developing management tools, measuring and improving environmental indicators.
