SILVAGAL. Tool for sustainable forest management in Galicia

This Task Force aims to achieve greater sustainable agricultural production, devoting great efforts to research and innovation at all levels. One of the major problems encountered is the environmental awareness and knowledge of the owners.

The level of professionalisation is very low, and access to information is also a problem, since the high level of fragmentation of this information makes it almost impossible for a profile of owners with little technical knowledge to access it. The initiative will promote a demonstration experience that will collect all the existing information on natural resources, at a Galician level, as a means to promote sustainable planning and management of the same.

This tool will include a database that will allow users to obtain strategic information on environmental aspects, as well as to develop management and measurement instruments and improve environmental indicators.
