Description

This Task Force aims to cultivate different types of mycorrhiza in hydrogen peroxide for use in ornamental, forestry and fruit plant production.

Nowadays, due to pollution, monocultures and globalization, which brings with it the introduction of new pests and/or diseases for plants, it is necessary to provide plants with greater quantities of fertilizers, water and phytosanitary products to combat this type of pests and diseases or to enhance the natural defenses of plants, which can be achieved with the contribution of mycorrhizae, which provide the plant with greater use and absorption of nutrients, greater absorption of water and greater self-defense against pests and/or diseases.

Currently, to obtain mycorrhizae, sterilized laboratories are needed that are too expensive for the vast majority of the population. This problem would be solved if the mycorrhizae were cultivated in hydrogen peroxide, making it possible to mycorrhize the plant in nurseries at a much lower cost than if commercial mycorrhizae were purchased, making the nursery more competitive.
