Description
The creation of this Task Force aims to gather information, diagnose the initial situation, and initiate possible technical reports. It also aims to determine a plan and carry out dissemination and outreach efforts.
- Prepare reports on selection and improvement proposals for the Carranzana breed based on factors such as hardiness, environmental adaptation, grazing capacity, production quality, and others. Prepare reports on selection and improvement proposals for shepherd dogs (Border Collie).
- Carry out selection and improvement work on the genealogical line in relation to the project objectives.
- Prepare reports on the wolf situation.
Objectives
The objective is to adapt a management model and implement technology that reduces the impact of wolf attacks on at least two pilot small ruminant farms, reducing the number of working hours dedicated to monitoring and protecting herds in the presence of wolves, and promoting effective outreach to at least 1,400 farmers who may have small ruminant herds and wolf problems.
