The proposed Operational Group's main objectives are to carry out joint projects that will contribute to achieving the objectives of the AEI.
The projects to be developed present innovative aspects for both the production chain and the commercial chain.
Develop a product innovation project based on the introduction of new cultivars of colored beans. The goal is to offer a new product offering on the retail shelves.
The product concept would be based on creating a package with three types of beans in three different colors, with similar or different shapes, with the aim of introducing new types of bean varieties into a vegetable segment that has not introduced innovations in recent years.
This species would be incorporated into the trend that is occurring in other vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers.
To identify new bean varieties with greater nutritional efficiency and greater tolerance to growing conditions in soils and water with high levels of salinity. In addition to its importance for human consumption, it is of agricultural interest because it has a fertilizing effect, thanks to its symbiosis with bacteria of the Rhizobium genus.
