Description
INNOMIEL: Innovation project for the remote monitoring of beehives and apiaries with the aim of increasing the competitiveness and efficiency of beekeeping farms and improving the sanitation, traceability and quality of honey.
Objectives
- Reduce the number of trips made by beekeepers to apiaries and prevent the theft of hives (specific objective of receiving an alert on the application within three minutes of a hive being moved).
- Improve the selection of apiary settlements and the traceability of bee products.
- Prevent the reduction of the bee population due to the influence of varroa, black spot (ascospheriosis) and Asian wasp (vespa velutina), with the measurable objective of providing at least one early warning of one of these phenomena.
