Description
Modernization of citrus farms: mechanization, incorporation of technology, and optimization of agricultural work, promoting environmentally friendly techniques, increasing profitability, and increasing safety.
Objectives
- Advance in the mechanization of cultivation operations and the incorporation of new technologies, mechanized harvesting and adaptive pruning.
- Promotion of the use of agro-sustainable measures: soil protection systems, valorisation of by-products and efficient use of inputs.
- Promote the training of farmers and technicians, as well as the incorporation of young people and women into citrus production.
- Create a communication and dissemination plan to improve the adoption of innovations and the promotion of sustainable practices in citrus production, both among farmers and other actors in the production chain, as well as in society in general.
Results
- Development of production inspection technology, Adaptation and demonstration of a branch shaker and a trunk shaker, Implementation of demonstration plots with mechanized pruning and harvesting systems.
- Processing of pruning waste, ground cover, mulching and multifunctional margins, Rational use of phytosanitary products.
- Occupational risk assessment and ergonomic analysis of agricultural workers, Analysis of technical and social variability.
- Design of an effective and efficient internal communication plan, including in-person, virtual, and publication-based outreach activities.
