Description

PICA aims to create an affordable hive monitoring system and complement it with a content platform that helps reduce health, environmental and economic risks in beekeeping.

Objectives

Improvement of current sensor devices and communication systems.
Development of a communication platform that provides beekeepers with information about their hives and creates a collaborative environment for stakeholders in the sector.

Results

Development of equipment with optimized sensors and communication systems and pilot testing installed in the field.
Development of mobile app, website and data platform for beekeepers.
Development of a centralized platform for data analysis and information generation.
