Description
PICA aims to create an affordable hive monitoring system and complement it with a content platform that helps reduce health, environmental, and economic risks in beekeeping.
Objectives
- Improvement of current sensor devices and communication systems.
- Development of a communication platform that provides beekeepers with information about their hives and creates a collaborative environment for stakeholders in the sector.
Results
- Development of equipment with optimized sensors and communication systems and pilot testing installed in the field.
- Development of a mobile app, website, and data platform for beekeepers. Development of a centralized platform for data analysis and information generation.
