Description

The objective of the GOPHYTOVID project is to minimise, in a demonstrative and real way, the use of chemical pesticides in viticulture and to evaluate the practical application of bioprotective alternatives in Spanish vineyards.

Objectives

Transformation of the vigor map obtained from aerial images into a zonal prescription or dose map.
Development and practical validation of an electronic device mounted on the tractor capable of reading the previously established prescription map and modifying the operational parameters.
Adjustment and evaluation of equipment adapted to the architecture of grape cultivation.
Formulation and practical evaluation of the effectiveness of biocontrol agents to combat wood diseases.
Quantification of the economic and environmental benefits of the developed device.

Results

Reduction in application volume by achieving reductions in those areas of lesser vigor on the plot.
Maintenance and potential improvement of the effectiveness of treatments to control pests and diseases in vines, in addition to a reduction in application volumes.
Reduction in the amount of phytosanitary products.
Development and application of alternative strategies to the use of chemical phytosanitary products: biocontrol agents.
Increased economic benefits and improved technological level of farms.
