Description

In mid-July, Tecnova presented 12 new Operating Groups in which it participates. According to the group, its participation is either as an active member or as a group leader, working in collaboration with companies, research centres and other technological centres.

Featured projects for the future of agriculture

These projects address a variety of crucial issues for the agricultural sector , including insect biotechnology, new sources of protein for food, soil regeneration, the use of agricultural by-products and improvements in the management of specific crops such as lemon. They also focus on the conservation of tropical fruits, water management in crops such as almonds and the development of intelligent lighting systems for crops.

Mari Carmen Galera, CEO of Tecnova, stressed during the press conference at its facilities that the main objective of these projects is to find solutions to two major problems faced by fruit and vegetable producers: water shortage and high production costs .

Detail of the 12 Operational Groups

  3. Go Ecoskin : Post-harvest control strategies to extend the shelf life of subtropical fruits.
  4. Go Grow4Lemon : Development of biostimulant products for the management of lemon crops.
  5. Go Tomagroup : Valorization of tomato waste for sustainable agricultural biostimulants.
  6. Go Macroalgae : Revaluation of Andalusian microalgae to develop agricultural bioinputs.

Commitment to innovation and sustainability

With these initiatives, Tecnova reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainable development in the agricultural sector , offering concrete solutions to the current and future challenges of producers.

Roots of change: inspiration and reflection
