Regulatory bases approved for aid for the exchange of knowledge and advice for the digital transition of the agri-food sector
Description
The Council of Ministers has approved the regulatory bases for the granting of supra-regional aid for two types of interventions aimed at the agri-food and forestry sector: one for the exchange of knowledge and training and information activities and another for advisory services for the digital transition.
These grants are part of the rural development measures of the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan ( PEPAC ) 2023-2027 and have a budget of 22.7 million euros, of which 12 million will be allocated to the 2024 call. Both interventions are co-financed by 43% by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and 57% by funds from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
These grants complement the actions that the autonomous communities have planned for these same interventions. In this way, the CAP Strategic Plan allocates 186 million euros of total public expenditure to this type of incentives for advice, training and the exchange of knowledge.
Entities at national or supra-regional level and, for some modalities, consortia belonging to the agri-food and forestry sector, which provide free advisory services and courses for the digital transition, demonstration activities or which organise events for the exchange of knowledge between professionals in this sector, may apply for these grants on a competitive basis.
