Description

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has published on its website the ' 2025 Continuing Education Plan for rural technicians ' , a key initiative to modernise the agri-food sector through the generation and transfer of knowledge, innovation and the incorporation of new technologies.

This plan, which expands its offer compared to previous editions, includes 54 training actions designed to improve the training of technical staff in rural areas. Its purpose is to promote the professionalization of the sector, attract talent and facilitate access to innovative tools that allow for more efficient and sustainable management of agri-food farms.

The training courses are aimed at professionals from administrations, networks and local action groups, agricultural organisations, cooperatives and rural associations , as well as employment agents, local development and university graduates involved in the advisory system of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

The main priorities of this edition include:

  • Generation and transfer of knowledge to improve the competitiveness of the sector.
  • Innovation and adoption of new technologies in agriculture and agri-food management.
  • Sustainability and economic viability of rural farms.
  • Support for young people, women and new entrepreneurs , facilitating their incorporation and consolidation in the sector.

The program will maintain both in-person and virtual modalities, through a specific platform that allows combining both options in some courses, thus guaranteeing more flexible access adapted to the needs of the sector.

With this initiative, the Ministry reinforces its commitment to training as a driving force for innovation , ensuring that rural professionals have the knowledge and tools necessary to face the challenges of the future.
