Open call for applications for the 5th edition of Food (Tech)² Challengers for startups
Description
Participation in the 5th edition of the Food (Tech)² Challengers program is open until March 30th, a collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and the National Center for Food Technology and Safety (CNTA).
The program seeks to:
- Technology-based foodtech startups with innovative solutions that can be applied to the agri-food value chain.
- Legally incorporated in Spain and whose productive activity is carried out within the national territory.
- With a well-defined technological challenge that can be addressed during the program's execution period and whose resolution will have a positive impact on project development.
A selection committee will choose between four and eight startups that will benefit from advantages such as the creation of their own IP, access to CNTA's capabilities and expertise , visibility, mentoring to connect their developments with consumers, and membership in the Food (Tech)2 Challengers Club.
A total of 19 participating startups and 22 technological challenges overcome since 2021 illuminate the trajectory of Food (Tech)2 Challengers. Once again, the program will seek the participation of startups that want to improve their technological solvency and reach the next level of development.
And this year brings an important new development: the deadline for selected startups to overcome the challenges has been extended from 6 to 7 months.
