New grants for training in digitalisation in the agri-food and forestry sector announced
Description
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has launched a call for grants aimed at training and the exchange of knowledge in the agri-food and forestry sector, with a total budget of nine million euros. These grants, which are part of the rural development pillar of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027, seek to support the digital transition and promote innovation in the sector.
Funding for training and knowledge projects

The grants are exclusively aimed at projects that promote the digital transition or initiatives to exchange knowledge and information in the agri-food and forestry sectors.

The call is divided into two thematic programmes. The first is focused on digitalisation , with the aim of improving the digital skills of professionals in the sector, addressing challenges such as adaptation to the digital agricultural exploitation notebook or the digitalisation of sustainable irrigation. The second programme supports generational change , the incorporation of young people into the sector, land management and organic production, among other key topics.
