New 2024/25 EU CAP Network events focused on innovation and knowledge sharing in agriculture
Description
From July 2024 to June 2025, the EU CAP Network will organize 13 events focusing on innovation, knowledge exchange, and EIP-AGRI. A video has been posted on YouTube to publicize this call and encourage participation.
The meetings are aimed at farmers, foresters, researchers, agricultural advisors, national networks, public authorities, NGOs, and more.
In total, the following have been scheduled:
- 3 focus groups
- 3 workshops
- 2 seminars
- 1 brokerage event
- 3 cross-visits for operational groups
- 1 national meeting of experts
Among the topics of interest that will be addressed at these meetings are:
- Sources of vegetable protein
- Cattle raising
- Biodiversity
- Circular bioeconomy
- Supply chain
- Demonstration farms
- Sources of plant genetics
- AI and Robotics
The program has been structured into three phases of meetings. The first meeting of the three new focus groups will take place during field visits from October to December 2024.
Several interactive sessions will then take place between January and March 2025 :
- Workshop “National Networking for Innovation”
- Seminar on robotics and artificial intelligence in agriculture and forestry
- Workshop on circular bioeconomy: valorization of by-products
- Brokerage event, or meeting to connect with potential partners for innovation and research projects.
Between April and June 2025, three cross-functional visits between operational groups will be organized, along with the second meeting of the three new focus groups, a workshop on the supply chain and the position of farms within it, a demonstration farm seminar, and, finally, an ad hoc expert meeting.
