In total, 10 regional meetings will take place in October 2022 under the title of “The enhancement of women in the agri-food sector”
The objective is to promote entrepreneurship and leadership, as well as the creation of networks and contacts among rural women themselves.

The National Rural Network promotes female rural leadership through a cycle of face-to-face meetings throughout Spain

Rural women have been and continue to be the engine of dynamization of the rural environment. Despite this, they suffer double discrimination that has kept them invisible: one, the stigma due to the gender gap, and the second, for belonging to a rural territory.

For this reason, the National Rural Network (RRN) has proposed supporting female rural entrepreneurship through in-person conferences throughout Spain, organized by its Regional Antennas team . There will be a total of 10 regional meetings whose objective is to promote an exchange of professional and personal experiences between rural women representatives of cooperatives, associations and rural entrepreneurs. They also seek to promote entrepreneurship and leadership, serving as inspiration to those who want to live and develop their activity in rural areas. The agriculture, livestock and agri-food sectors will be represented at these conferences.

The cycle of meetings “The enhancement of women in the agri-food sector” will feature as speakers the same protagonists of the conferences: rural women who develop different valuable projects in their territories.

A good part of the events will be held in educational centers of higher education, so that the example of these women can serve as inspiration to the students and any doubts and questions they may have can be resolved.

Likewise, and to disseminate the work of these women, the RRN will publish through its communication channels ( web and social networks ) various news, podcasts and files with the companies or initiatives launched by these women.
