More than 139,000 farmers will receive extraordinary aid from the State
Description
With an amount of €268.7 million from the General State Budget , 139,756 owners of agricultural holdings producing dry land, rice and tomato for industry will benefit from the payment of this aid to compensate for the difficulties due to the drought and the war in Ukraine.
This aid, established by Royal Decree-Law 4/2023 , of May 11, benefits natural or legal persons or entities without legal personality, owners of agricultural holdings that are eligible to receive direct aid from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in the 2023 campaign and that:
- have dryland crop land on their farm, excluding temporary pastures.
- have irrigated farmland in traditional rice growing areas.
- have a specific surface area for aid associated with the cultivation of industrial tomatoes in recent campaigns.
The provisional list of farm owners eligible for aid, together with the number of eligible hectares of dry land, rice and tomato land for industrial use and the amount of aid to be received can be consulted on the notice board of the FEGA website . Aid will not be granted to beneficiaries whose total amount to be received is less than €200.
Interested parties have a period of 10 working days (from the day after publication) to make objections to the rejection of the aid, opposition to the consultation of their tax and Social Security obligations (which will have the same effect as the rejection of the aid), or errors, omissions or other circumstances that they consider appropriate. Objections must be submitted exclusively through a form on the FEGA electronic headquarters .
