The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food launches a mentoring program for women entrepreneurs in rural areas

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA), in collaboration with Caixabank, has launched the Crecemos Juntas program - rural mentors project, for the professional development of entrepreneurial women in rural areas.
This program has, among other objectives, to systematize the transmission of knowledge and experiences accumulated by rural entrepreneurs and to accelerate and accelerate their development and professional growth. In addition, it also seeks to form and visualize a solid network of women leaders in rural areas.
In the first edition of this program, whose training sessions began today, 15 pairs of women participate who will carry out a co-learning process for 6 months, in which one of them who acts as a mentor facilitates, guides and accompanies the development of the mentored.
The general director of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training, Isabel Bombal, pointed out at the institutional opening ceremony of the program that this initiative not only reinforces the excellence awards for innovation of rural women in the department, but also contributes to consolidate an entrepreneurship ecosystem in rural areas, where rural women are the protagonists. The director of Human Relations Development at CaixaBank, Marta Padrós, and the director of the Agrobank network, Carlos Seara, also participated in the event.
The Crecemos Together project is one of the actions included in the collaboration agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Caixabank signed in November 2022. The program is aimed at the winners of the last three editions of the Excellence Award for Innovation of Rural Women, granted by MAPA, who are the mentored. Women who are leaders in large companies or institutions and winners of the first editions of the aforementioned awards participate as mentors.
