Luis Planas stresses at the G-20 agriculture meeting that new technologies and innovation are fundamental instruments for its future

During his participation in the second session of the G-20 meeting of Agriculture Ministers, held in Cuiabá (Brazil), the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, stressed that new technologies and innovation are essential for 21st century agriculture. He underlined the importance of implementing these tools in family and professional agriculture to make it more efficient, sustainable and profitable. In addition, he emphasized that these technologies will help transform food systems to make them fairer and more sustainable, contributing to the efficient use of resources such as water and soil. According to Planas, agriculture must be part of the solution to global challenges, not a problem.
