Luis Planas presents 43 measures that respond to the main concerns of the agricultural sector

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, has presented to the professional agricultural organizations a “solid” and “ambitious” set of 43 proposed measures that respond to the main concerns expressed by farmers and ranchers. The measures (43) are grouped into seven blocks and include the application of the CAP flexibilities approved by the Council of Ministers of Agriculture of the EU on March 26 ( Spanish ).

1. Simplification and flexibility of the CAP;
2. Issues relating to cross-border trade in agri-food products;
3. Strengthening enforcement of chain law;
4. Improving the agricultural insurance system;
5. Fiscal, financing and labour measures;
6. Support for animal health and extensive livestock farming;
7. Strengthening policies to facilitate generational change in coordination with the autonomous communities.
