Detailed program of AGROBIOTECH 2025: innovation, biotechnology and digitalization come together in Lleida

The AGROBIOTECH 2025 event will turn Lleida into the epicenter of agri-food and forestry innovation from November 25 to 27 , bringing together researchers, companies, technology centers and public entities around the major challenges of the sector: sustainability, digitalization and climate change.

The program includes more than fifty conferences, round tables and project meetings, with the participation of entities such as IRTA , Eurecat , Vall Companys , Microsoft , Leitat , FEMAC , the Generalitat of Catalonia and various universities.

November 25th: Science, Biotechnology and Digitalization

The opening day will begin with a presentation by Dr. Fernando Valladares (Eurecat) entitled “Challenges of climate change” (09:15 h, Room P5), which will set the tone of the event by addressing the ecological and productive challenges facing the agri-food sector.

At 09:30 h , IRTA will offer a presentation in room P4N on New biotechnological tools and their role in improving plant production.

Among the most anticipated sessions is the talk “Challenges of digitalization” (10:15 a.m.) , featuring Microsoft and Vall Companys , which will explore the opportunities of digital transformation for productivity and traceability in the agri-food sector.

In the afternoon, at 4:00 pm , the conference “Utilization of by-products in the agri-food sector” will be held (Room P4S), in which circular solutions to reduce waste and move towards a more efficient bioeconomy will be analyzed.

November 26th: Agricultural technology and smart farming

The second day will begin with a focus on agricultural technologies and automation . Starting at 9:00 a.m. in Room P5 , several technical roundtables on robotics in cultivation, harvesting, and production will be held, organized by Eurecat , along with a discussion on technological evolution since the sector's "White Paper."

Simultaneously, at 09:30 h , the GO LIVLAB-IN project meeting will take place, which will then present its progress at 13:00 h in a public presentation on its results and next steps towards a more innovative and collaborative agriculture.

The morning will also include the presentation “Smart Farming” , focused on smart agriculture and connected systems, at 13:00 in room P4 and the session “Artificial Intelligence Tools” , (12:30) which will show practical examples of automation on farms and in the field.

In the afternoon, at 3:30 p.m. , the conference “Technology 4.0 and aid for agricultural investments” will be held, organized by JARC to analyze how technological innovation can access rural modernization and digitalization funds.

November 27th: a day of reference and energy future

On the last day, AGROBIOTECH 2025 will hold a keynote event (09:30 h, Room P5) with the participation of research centers, universities and technology clusters , which will present innovative solutions in agri-food and forestry digitalization .

The morning will also include the session on wastewater valorization (1:30 p.m., Room P4S) and the presentation of the Ruralapps Awards to the best digital initiatives in the rural field.

The event will close with one of the most anticipated panels: the Xarxa H2Cat Round Table (13:30 h, South Room), dedicated to hydrogen projects, decarbonization and bioeconomy , organized by BiohubCat , the Bioenergy Cluster and Eurecat .

For three days, AGROBIOTECH 2025 will highlight the joint work of technology centers, companies and administrations to advance towards a more resilient, digital and sustainable agri-food model.
