CTAEX promotes knowledge transfer and collaboration at Transfiere 2026
Description
The Extremadura National Agri-Food Technology Centre (CTAEX) participated in Transfiere , the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation , with the aim of strengthening knowledge transfer and opening new avenues of cooperation in the agri-food sector. The event was held from February 24 to 26, 2016, at the Trade Fair and Congress Centre in Málaga .
As in previous editions, CTAEX was part of the common space of Extremadura , together with other entities of the SECTI (Extremadura System of Science, Technology and Innovation) , contributing to showcasing the scientific and technological potential of the region.
During the forum, the center presented its main lines of R&D&I , focused on improving agro-industrial competitiveness , advancing the sustainability of production processes and promoting the valorization of agri-food products and by-products .
In parallel, CTAEX participated in the event organized on February 25th by the Spanish Federation of Technology Centers (Fedit) . During this event, its director, José Luis Llerena , spoke at the Elevator Pitch session, dedicated to the presentation of international prototypes and projects in the field of Smart Health , where emerging initiatives and opportunities for collaboration with various stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem were shared.
In addition, the CTAEX team held meetings with companies, research organizations and public entities to identify synergies and explore joint projects of national and international scope, reinforcing its position in one of the main European spaces for innovation and technology transfer.
With this participation, CTAEX once again underlined its commitment to open innovation and to an effective transfer of research results to industry, contributing to the sustainable growth of the agri-food sector and to the projection of Extremadura at the national and international level.
