Agri-food innovation will be the focus of MAPA's participation at Fruit Attraction 2024

The participation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) in the next edition of the Fruit Attraction fair, which will be held at IFEMA Madrid between October 8 and 10, 2024, will be strongly oriented towards technological innovation and agricultural digitalization , highlighting in the presentations that it will carry out at its stand ( Stand 5C01 - Pavilion P05) its initiatives to promote more sustainable and efficient agriculture through R&D&I .

One of the highlights will be the presentation of the AKIS Advisory Platform (PAA) , which will take place on Tuesday 8 October at 11:00 am , by the Subdirectorate General for Innovation and Digitalisation. The MAPA aims to highlight its role as a key tool for integrating the transfer of knowledge and bringing together the advisory sector in the agricultural and agri-food sectors on new technologies and sustainable practices. The PAA is emerging as a key resource for accelerating the adoption of digital and technological innovations in the agri-food sector, facilitating access to data, training and technical advice.

On the same day, at 1:00 p.m., the presentation of La Vega Innova will take place, a space dedicated to agri-food innovation and entrepreneurship in rural areas, also under the direction of the Subdirectorate General of Innovation and Digitalization. This initiative seeks to promote emerging projects and foster the competitiveness of the sector through advanced technologies.

On Wednesday, October 9 at 1:00 p.m., the Director General of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-Food Training will present, together with the DATAGRI Association, the program of the DATAGRI 2024 Forum , which will be held on November 13 and 14. This forum will be a key space to discuss the digital transformation of the agricultural sector .

In addition, during the three days of the fair, the public will be able to enjoy complementary activities at the MAPA stand, such as tastings of sustainable agri-food products.
