Biochar, a sustainable solution for improving compost and soil,” a 1 hour and 30 minute online session that will bring the training series dedicated to biochar to a close, consolidating its role as a key tool for a more sustainable, circular and resilient agriculture in the face of climate change . This third webinar falls within the areas of Soil, Sustainability and Climate Change , is aimed at a beginner level audience within the field of specialization , and will offer a comprehensive view of the agronomic, environmental and regulatory potential of biochar and hydrochar as new strategic inputs in the sustainable management of soils. During the session, participants will analyze how these biochars contribute to improving soil structure, increasing carbon stability, and enhancing composting efficiency —key aspects for increasing agricultural productivity within a regenerative and circular economy model. The session will also address the uses of biochar as a composting input and its direct application to the soil , along with its main agronomic and environmental benefits. One of the central themes of the webinar will be the analysis of the European regulatory framework for the marketing of biochar as a fertilizer product , including quality and safety requirements , as well as the opportunities that this regulation opens up for producers, waste managers and agricultural operators .
