Online workshop on developing fertilization plans for citrus fruits with a practical demonstration of a digital assistant

The entry into force, on September 1st, of the requirement to develop Fertilization Plans for most farms is driving the need for tools and procedures that facilitate compliance for advisors and farmers. In this context, Agroslab will hold the free online workshop “Fertilization Plans in Citrus: Practical Demonstration with the aGROSlab Assistant” on June 5th, 2026. The session, which will be broadcast live between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. , is aimed at both fertilization advisors and farmers interested in learning how to prepare, justify and issue a Fertilization Plan in a practical and traceable way. During the workshop, the new aGROSlab assistant for creating Fertilization Plans will be presented. This tool is designed to allow professionals to work independently, leveraging their agronomic knowledge and technical expertise. Although the platform is integrated with SATIVUM, this session will focus on the practical use of aGROSlab's own assistant. The training will have a predominantly operational focus and will be delivered through a practical demonstration applied to citrus crops. Participants will learn step-by-step how to create a complete Fertilization Plan, from identifying plots and fertilization groups to the final generation of the document from the platform. Furthermore, the session will address key aspects of the current regulatory framework, especially Royal Decree 1051/2022 and the Action Plans for Nitrate Vulnerable Zones. Technical issues related to determining nutritional needs, the use of foliar and soil analyses, indirect nutrient applications, and the planning of split applications throughout the growing season will also be covered. Another key point will be the selection of fertilizers based on nutrient balance and the registration of Good Fertilization Practices, fundamental aspects to guarantee efficient management tailored to the agro-environmental conditions of each farm. Agroslab indicates that this workshop will be especially useful for those who need to develop plans for individual farms or groups of plots with homogeneous agronomic characteristics. They also announce that in the coming weeks, further sessions will be held focusing on other crops such as vineyards, fruit trees, vegetables, and almond trees.
