On December 15th at 11:00 am, the webinar “European Partnerships: an opportunity for the agri-food sector” will be held, a key information session to learn about the transnational research calls that promote innovation in agriculture, food and sustainability.

The meeting is aimed at actors in the Spanish Science and Technology System , including research centers, universities, companies, administrations and entities of the agri-food ecosystem interested in accessing competitive European funding .

Calls for proposals and funding agencies

During the event, funding opportunities and eligibility criteria for Spanish participants in three European agri-food partnerships will be presented. Participants will be able to learn in detail about the characteristics and requirements of the following calls for proposals:

  • AgroecologyAccelerating the transition of agricultural systems through living labs and research infrastructures .
    Funding: AEI, CDTI and JuntaEx.
  • AgDataAgriculture of Data: digitization, data spaces and advanced analytics applied to the agricultural sector .
    Funding: AEI and CDTI.
  • FutureFoodSSustainable Future of Food Systems: towards sustainable, resilient and healthy food systems.
    Financing: AEI, CDTI, ELIKA (Basque Government) and SEKUENS/FICYT.

Spain participates in these calls for proposals through various funding agencies, which will explain their lines of support:

  • State Investigation Agency (AEI)
  • Centre for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI)
  • Junta de Extremadura (JuntaEx)
  • ELIKA – Basque Foundation for Food Safety (Basque Government)
  • SEKUENS / FICYT – Principality of Asturias
