UAGN is organizing a technical visit to San Martín de Unx , in Navarra, next Friday, June 5, 2026 , with the aim of learning firsthand about the wine-growing activity that takes place in the town and analyzing the role that wineries and vineyards play in the economy, landscape and identity of the territory.
Throughout the day, participants will learn about the evolution of the local wine sector, vineyard management, and strategies for adding value to the product and the rural environment. Visits to the region and wineries will provide an in-depth look at the production, marketing, and promotion processes for the area's wines.
Furthermore, this action will promote the exchange of experiences between UAGN technical staff, representatives of the wine sector and local agents, fostering the sharing of initiatives linked to rural development, the promotion of the territory and the sustainability of agricultural businesses.
Overall, the technical visit will contribute to strengthening the participants' technical and sectoral knowledge, as well as promoting the transfer of experiences and best practices related to wine-growing activity and the revitalization of rural areas.
Program of the day
The visit will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the reception and welcome at Casa Muruzábal , hosted by Javier Leoz , mayor of San Martín de Unx, and Félix Bariáin , president of UAGN.
At 10:00 am the presentation “San Martín de Unx, a land made of wine” will take place, given by Julián Palacios , president of the Association of Vineyards and Wineries of San Martín de Unx.
Later, at 11:00 a.m. , there will be a visit focused on the territory and the landscape , followed, at 12:00 p.m. , by a visit to a winery and a tasting of several references from the Association.
The day will continue at 2:00 p.m. with lunch and will end in the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m. , with another visit to a winery, yet to be determined.
