Round table discussion on the problem of bacterial fire in La Rioja

The Department of Agriculture of the Government of La Rioja, together with the agricultural organizations ARAG-ASAJA , UAGR , UPA and the PDO Pears of Rincón de Soto , has organized two informative round tables to address the current situation of fire blight in the autonomous community, a disease with a special impact on fruit trees that worries the producing sector.

The meetings, which are open to farmers, technicians and the general public, will be held in two key municipalities in the Ebro Valley:

During the sessions, representatives of agricultural organizations and the regional administration will provide an update on the evolution of fire blight , the prevention and control measures available, and the shared responsibilities between producers, technical services and authorities.

The round tables will also serve as a space for dialogue to share concerns, review action protocols and strengthen coordination among all involved agents, especially in pear-producing areas of great strategic importance such as Rincón de Soto.
