Regenerative agriculture and livestock farming as keys to sustainability

On December 24, 2025 , from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. , Unións Agrarias-UPA will celebrate in online format the tenth edition of the conference “Regenerative agriculture and livestock as keys to sustainability” , framed in the “Living Territories” program of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027 .
The purpose of the event is to disseminate knowledge about regenerative farming and livestock practices , aimed at regenerating and maintaining soil fertility, improving biodiversity and strengthening the economic sustainability of farms , while also contributing to the fight against climate change .
The program will cover the fundamentals of regenerative systems , their environmental and ecological benefits , and key techniques in agriculture and livestock farming , including cover crops, crop rotations, rotational grazing, soil improvement, and reduced external inputs. Practical case studies and real-world experiences will also be analyzed, along with the economic and social impacts of these production strategies.
The event will include a specific session on the challenges and barriers to implementing regenerative models , such as initial investment, lack of technical training, and regulatory limitations. The activity is aimed at farmers, livestock breeders, technicians, and consultants interested in the transition to more sustainable production systems .
