Preparation of the Farm Logbook in Multi-Farm Environments

Start date: 17/04/2026
Ending date: 17/04/2026
Modality: Online

Description

How to correctly record agricultural tasks and phytosanitary treatments when managing multiple farms from the perspective of the Register of Agricultural Holdings (REA). aGROSlab is organizing an online workshop to explain how to address this issue practically and in accordance with regulations, using the Multi-Farm Homogeneous Units functionality.

Many integrated farms have different legal realities: several farms from a legal standpoint, with different REA registrations, but a single management unit in practice. This situation, common for tax, economic, or family reasons, creates operational difficulties when preparing the Farm Logbooks correctly and complying with the obligations associated with recording work and treatments. In daily fieldwork, agricultural tasks are not usually carried out with consideration for which legal farm each plot belongs to. In the specific case of plant protection treatments, it is common for them to be applied continuously to adjacent plots that, although corresponding to different REAs, are part of the same production unit. This way of working, perfectly logical from an agronomic point of view, has administrative and legal implications that should be understood and managed properly, especially regarding the Farm Logbook and the communication of treatments to third parties in the RETO system .

This online workshop aims to explain how to address this problem in a practical and compliant manner, using the Multi-farm Homogeneous Units functionality of aGROSlab.

CONTENT

Throughout the session, the concept of these units , their different types, and the advantages they offer to those who work with or advise farms with multiple legal entities will be presented. A practical example will demonstrate how to create and modify these units and how to register a multi-farm phytosanitary treatment using both the web version and the mobile app. Furthermore, it will be explained how to correctly record these procedures in the Farm Management Books of each integrated farm and how, when applicable, to make the corresponding entries in the RETO system for treatments carried out on third parties.

The workshop is aimed at farmers who work several farms from a registration point of view and advisors responsible for preparing Farm Records who are looking for operational, coherent and safe solutions for this type of situation.
