New Business Models: applications of microalgae

The free online event “New Business Models: applications of microalgae” will be held on June 3, 2026, a training activity aimed at showing the potential of microalgae as a high-value biotechnological resource for the development of innovative and sustainable solutions in the agri-food sector.

The initiative is part of a knowledge transfer project promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and seeks to bring professionals and entities closer to the opportunities offered by microalgae in different productive areas.

During the session, the main applications of microalgae in sectors such as food, agriculture, aquaculture and bioenergy will be analyzed, as well as the technical, economic and environmental aspects associated with their use.

The conference will focus on how these types of biotechnological resources can contribute to the development of new business models linked to sustainability, the circular economy and innovation in the rural and agri-food sectors.

The meeting will be held online between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and will have limited places available.
