The LAKTIS project celebrates the third edition of its final conference on mitigation strategies in dairy farms in Ribadeo

On Thursday, February 12, 2026 , the LAKTIS project will hold the 3rd edition of its Final Days in Ribadeo (Lugo) : Discussion of results of practical cases and assessment of mitigation strategies by farm type , a new meeting intended to share conclusions, compare experiences and move towards a more sustainable dairy farming model .
The event will be held in a hybrid format (in person and online via Teams) , from 10:00 to 18:30 , and will take place at the CFEA Pedro Murias , located at Lugar A Granxa, 1 (27797 Ribadeo, Lugo) .
Project results and technical discussion
The main objective of the meeting is to share the results obtained from all farms participating in the LAKTIS project , as well as to analyze and evaluate the mitigation strategies applied based on farm type. The event is aimed at dairy professionals, technical staff, researchers, and organizations involved in innovation and livestock sustainability.
The opening remarks and contextualization of the day will be provided by the Medrar Innovation Office team. Following this, a round table discussion focusing on the overall results of the project will be held, moderated by Ángel Miranda ( CLUN ) , with the participation of technical staff from AGACA , the University of Santiago de Compostela , ODOS , Gregorio Salcedo , and Solid Forest .
Challenges in the dairy sector and collective construction
The program will include the presentation "Current situation of the dairy livestock sector and future challenges in sustainability" , which will be given by Anouchka Biel Canedo , head of service of the General Sub-Directorate of Livestock and Hunting Productions of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food .
After the aperitif and networking space , which will feature an exhibition of banners and infographics of related projects, the day will continue with a participatory dynamic aimed at defining content for a future White Guide , encouraging the active involvement of all attendees.
The meeting will conclude with a visit to livestock facilities , currently pending confirmation , which will allow participants to learn about practical experiences related to the project's objectives.
With this third edition, the final days of the LAKTIS project reinforce their role as a space for exchange, evaluation and collective learning , aimed at promoting a more resilient, innovative dairy sector aligned with current environmental and production challenges .
