Description

The General Council of Colleges of the Veterinary Profession of Spain will hold the IV International Congress on Animal Health and Welfare on May 7, 8 and 9, 2026 at the Ateneo Mercantil in Valencia , with the aim of maintaining and leading the enormous interest shown by professionals in the sector in these areas after the three previous editions in León, Córdoba and Madrid.

The Veterinary Professional Organization understands both Animal-Human Health and Animal Welfare as fundamental to the One Health concept, and therefore must promote its Scientific-Technical progress and demonstrate the importance of veterinary activity in its development.

European and national legislation and regulations in the field of Animal Health and Welfare are constantly evolving , which leads to the search for new approaches in the complex work of the veterinary profession in order to respond to the demands of a society that is increasingly aware of the animal and environmental surroundings.

The presence at this event of the best experts and specialists in these subjects and topics, and the interaction and exchange of experiences among the participants, will allow for a beneficial outcome with conclusions that will help the veterinary professional in their daily work.
