GO AGRIREGENCARBON conference on regenerative agriculture and carbon markets

On January 15th , a technical conference of the AgriRegenCarbon Supra-regional Operational Group will be held in the Connection Room of the Walqa Technology Park , in Cuarte (Huesca), focused on promoting regenerative agriculture and the development of carbon farming in the crops of the Iberian Peninsula.
The event will take place from 10:00 to 13:00 and is aimed at farmers, technical staff, advisors and professionals in the agri-food sector interested in sustainable agricultural practices and the opportunities offered by agricultural carbon markets .
Regenerative agriculture and carbon: keys to the future of the sector
The meeting will begin with the presentation of the AgriRegenCarbon project , by Jesús Abadías Ullod , from Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de Aragón , where the objectives and scope of the Operational Group will be explained.
Next, an introduction to regenerative agriculture applied to crops in the Iberian Peninsula will be offered by José Luis García de Castro Rubio , from the Poultree Regenerative Farm, focusing on practices that improve soil health, biodiversity and the resilience of farms.
The day will continue with a presentation on agricultural carbon markets , given by Orson Acosta Romero de Tejada , from Azolla Projects , addressing the opportunities and challenges of carbon sequestration in agriculture.
The program will be completed with a discussion space to reflect on the implementation of sustainable practices and carbon farming in the real context of farms, and will end with refreshments for the attendees.
